Below are the characters that appeared once in series one.

Series One Friends
Jabe | Yasmin Bannerman
Species:- Tree (Forest of Cheem).

Appearances:- 'The End of the World' (1.02)

Role:- Jabe helps the Doctor investigate the cause of Platform One's malfunction. In the end, she is burnt holding the lever down to prevent the fans killing the Doctor as the temperature rises.

Charles Dickens | Simon Callow
Species:- Human.

Appearances:- 'The Unquiet Dead' (1.03)

Role:- After spending the former part of Christmas Eve believing that the Gelths are a hoax, he gets drawn in and proves a great help. He comes up with the plan to save them and the human race. The experience changes his life and he decides to spent time with his family on Christmas Day.

Gwyneth | Undertaker's Maid | Eve Myles
Species:- Human.

Appearances:- 'The Unquiet Dead' (1.03)

Role:- She is a maid with the gift of foresight. She is paid very little and does her best. She does what she feels is right and ends up saving the day.

Cathica | Christine Adams
Species:- Human.

Appearances:- 'The Long Game' (1.07)

Role:- Cathica was part of 'Satellite Five'. She would use the chip inside her head in order to transmit the use over the Earth's empire. After meeting the Doctor and Rose, she learnt what was really going on and used her newfound knowledge to save the day.

Nancy | Steet Urchin | Florence Hoath
Species:- Human.

Appearances:- 'The Empty Child' (1.09) & 'The Doctor Dances' (1.10)

Role:- Nancy lives on the streets, caring for the other homeless children. However, she is menaced by someone she thought she had lost.

Lynda | Jo Joyner
Species:- Human.

Appearances:- 'Bad Wolf' (1.12) & 'The Parting of the Ways' (1.13)

Role:- Lynda was a contestant on one of the Big Brother games on the 'Games Station' who escaped from it with the Doctor. She got involved and ended up as the lookout, which wasn't that great an idea because the Daleks didn't like the oxygen in that room too much!


Series One Villains
The Nestene Consciousness | Nicholas Briggs & The Mill
Species:- Nestine.

Evil Intent:- Gain control of the Earth for use as a planet to continue the Nestene race.

Appearances:- 'Rose' (1.01)

Tools of the Trade:- Autons; Facsimiles and a control signal. The Autons are the plastic dummies armed with a weapon inside their hand. The control signal uses The London Eye to gain control of every piece of plastic and turn it against the human race.

The Gelth | Zoe Thorne
Species:- Gelth.

Evil Intent:- Take over the Earth and use it's inhabitants as hosts so they can live without needing to stay in a gaseous form.

Appearances:- 'The Unquiet Dead' (1.03)

Tools of the Trade:- Inhabiting newly deceased bodies and using them to kill others to get more of them! Also use the power of apathy to trick people.

The Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe | The Mill
Species:- Unknown. The Editor wouldn't say.

Evil Intent:- To gain control of the Human race.

Appearances:- 'The Long Game' (1.07)

Tools of the Trade:- Using 'The Editor' (Simon Pegg), this big blob of matter uses the power of the news to control the human race. All those that get too smart get sent to level 500!

The Reapers | The Mill
Species:- Reaper.

Evil Intent:- To kill everyone in order to prevent the wider damage to time.

Appearances:- 'Father's Day' (1.08)

Tools of the Trade:- They swoop down on people and eat them and they appear from nowhere!

Jamie | Human Gas Mask Zombie | Albert Valentine
Species:- Almost Human.

Evil Intent:- To find his mummy.

Appearances:- 'The Empty Child' (1.09) & 'The Doctor Dances' (1.10)

Tools of the Trade:- Jamie can punch through walls and call up anything with a speaker grill because of his botched Tula repairs. Anything he touches becomes like him!
